Good work with the wallet, I started to use it recently and I appreciate very much the fact that it is similar to the Electrum wallet, but it improvements :)

  1. The "History" screen could contain a column on the left with the number of the transaction, in order (# 1, # 2, # 3...), to easily know how many transactions have been made.

  2. In the same screen, the fiat option is only showing a question mark?

  3. The "Receive" screen could have the option to show the subaddresses already used. This is interesting for services that use a wallet address as a login. There are scenarios where I want to be able to at least copy an old subaddress. There may be an alert or the address can have a red background to warn the user that such address has been used before. Currently I am required to go to the "Coins" screen and copy the address from there, but this is only possible because the address in question still has a balance... which brings me to my other suggestion:

  4. Considering the case above, it would be interesting to have a screen called "Addresses" like Electrum has, where you can see the used addresses and the balance per address in the wallet. This seems interesting to me for users who use a subaddress to categorize transactions, allowing them to see the balance by address (category).

Other smaller suggestions include: possibility to add or remove decimals on the main "History" screen; allow the user to manually select which fee priority for the transaction (which I guess is the goal of #238).

So far that's all I could think of, but I've only used the wallet for a day. If I come up with more suggestions I will update this issue -- unless everything is done and the issue is closed, then I will open a new one.

  1. Good idea. I'll add it as an optional column.

  2. This is a bug, I'm looking into it.

  3. Right click the table header -> Show used addresses.

  4. I'll get back to you on this.

possibility to add or remove decimals on the main "History" screen

Good idea. Added to the list.

allow the user to manually select which fee priority for the transaction

Right click the table header -> Show used addresses.

Right, that worked. I wonder if something can be done to make features like this more clear to the user. Maybe in a future introduction screen for when you create or restore a wallet? Or even on a FAQ/Help page explaining these hidden things.

Makes sense, understandable. For users who come from other wallets like GUI, Monerujo, Cake... It might be interesting to at least inform that the wallet uses an automatic fee priority that chooses between low and default based on the mempool. Otherwise it just feels "weird" that such a prevalent feature in other wallets is missing on Feather.

As the project matures I will work on providing better documentation and user guides. This is definitely lacking at the moment. An introduction screen may be useful, I will keep it in mind.

that chooses between low and default based on the mempool.

This feature was borrowed from core. Both CLI and GUI use it by default iirc.

uint32_t wallet2::adjust_priority(uint32_t priority) in wallet2.cpp in case you're interested.

Otherwise it just feels "weird" that such a prevalent feature in other wallets is missing on Feather.

I might just implement it before 1.0 and add it as an optional feature in the settings, but since it harms user privacy AND has no effect on block inclusion I won't give it any priority for now.
